Overnight Oatmeal
Another great make-ahead breakfast involves my favorite kitchen tool… the crockpot! Make this the night before and wake up to a delicious breakfast. Take the leftovers and freeze them or put them in individual containers for a quick and easy breakfast on the go!
Ingredients
- 1.5 C steel-cut oats
- 3 C milk (I used 2%, but you can use whatever you like)
- 4 C water
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 C agave syrup (again, whatever sweetener you prefer)
- 2 Tb butter
- Optional: fruit of choice (apples, peaches, etc.)
Instructions
Before you dump your ingredients in, coat the inside of your slow cooker with a non-stick spray. (This will make clean-up easier later.) Dump everything in and stir. Cook on low heat for 8 hours. Stir your oatmeal to blend the ingredients and add your fruit of choice on top. I recommend peaches!
